191. Postroll introduction and plans
I’m launching my own postroll, a curated collection of blog posts and links that have caught my eye, tickled my brain, or just made me smile. It’s like a rolling buffet of posts, a way to keep track of the blog entries I find while offering something delightful for others to explore. My RSS feed reader, Feedbro, is my go-to for staying updated, along with the Discover page on Bear Blog.
This idea was sparked by Jedda’s post about postrolls, who, in turn, drew inspiration from Brandon. My postroll, found under my 🌱links in my nav bar, features a dynamic list of posts, blogs, and links that I’ve been enjoying recently. To keep a record, I’ll feature my favorite picks in my Monthly Wrap-Ups/Media Diaries, a revived tradition for 2025. These monthly wrap-ups will include all the movies, books, music albums, and podcasts I’ve enjoyed that month, along with standout posts from the postroll.

This postroll is more than just a personal archive; it’s a way to share the blogosphere’s gems with thoughtful reads, clever insights, or a good rabbit hole to dive into. Each month, expect a fresh wave of recommendations, and to stay even more consistent and accountable, I’ve been wanting launch a short and sweet email newsletter from my email or RSS feed It would summarize the posts I’ve written and keep you updated on everything new. Although, I feel like with any newsletter lost in a sea of other emails, an RSS feed would make things obsolete. I've been thinking of doing something like a microblog though.
